  • Do I need to buy a meal plan?
First Year Freshmen are automatically placed on a meal plan when they enroll in housing. All other students may voluntarily enroll in a meal plan, which offers many benefits, including convenience, value, flexibility and quality.

  • Will my meal plan auto renew for next semester?
Yes, meal plans are a two semester commitment. This means that when a student enrolls in a meal plan, they are signing up for both Fall and Spring semesters.

  • Will unused meal plans or Flex Dollars roll over to a future semester or year?
Flex Dollars roll over from summer to fall to spring and will expire at the end of the spring semester. Block Meals expire at the end of each semester.

  • If I have already purchased a meal plan, can I change it?
Students have the first two weeks of each semester to make changes to their meal plan. Changes can be made online or in the MSU Dining Office.
Don’t worry - simplicity and convenience are all within reach. Once you have a meal plan, your student ID works like a debit card. Just swipe your card and the meals and points are deducted from your meal plan account.
